This is where you can read about, post details on and/or search for information regarding the interview process for all companies beginning with the letter "T."

Our mission here is very simple.
Think of this forum as a tool that puts a little more power in the hands of you the job applicant. You're already stressed out enough having to spend hours on job posting web sites like Careerbuilder and Monster, sending resumes, making follow up phone calls and overall, trying to impress hiring managers enough to give you a shot at your dream job.
All we're doing is "Secret Shopping" all those corporate hiring managers out there.
The feedback you post will be utilized by all who view it to motivate, not criticize. Ok, if you have a legitimate criticism, please feel free to voice your opinion however you see fit.

Company Name:
Tek Collect
Position:
Sales Representative
Current status in the interview process:
9/18 – Doing your “Due Diligence” is key in any job search but even more so when your money is on the line. I decided to look up local reps and call them to get the low down from someone who was in the trenches everyday. I’m glad I did! Although the rep told me that it is a good program, it’s not quite as easy you are led to believe that every business will take advantage of this service. It’s kind of pricey for smaller businesses that don’t have huge accounts receivable departments or bad debt files. Don’t forget, Sales Representatives have to be bonded which obviously adds to ones startup expenses!
9/16 – Attended a mass hiring event where they assembled approximately 30 candidates in a conference room, did a presentation, then conducted one on one interviews for those that were still interested in the opportunity. Hiring decisions were made on the spot because the hiring manager wanted to “start Sales Reps as soon as possible.” That meant two days from now! All I had to do was show up to the training seminar, bring $350 for training materials and absorb the information. As usual, when faced with the prospect of having to “pay” for a job, I told them I would think about it.
9/4 – Called for information on the company based on a posting on Careerbuilder.
Salary information:
The email states: “The first year income for this position can range from $75,000 to $100,000. Due to the current market demand for our service, as well as new technology, this opportunity is limited only by your efforts and sales skills. I might add we have had individuals who have earned over $150,000 in their first year with Tek-Collect.”
