Has anyone ever asked you: "How'd your job interview go?"
Ever wondered how someone else's went?
Well here's your chance to find out!

Our mission here is very simple.

Think of this forum as a tool that puts a little more power in the hands of you the job applicant. You're already stressed out enough having to spend hours on job posting web sites like Careerbuilder and Monster, sending resumes, making follow up phone calls and overall, trying to impress hiring managers enough to give you a shot at your dream job.

All we're doing is "Secret Shopping" all those corporate hiring managers out there.

The feedback you post will be utilized by all who view it to motivate, not criticize. Ok, if you have a legitimate criticism, please feel free to voice your opinion however you see fit.

Company Name:
Mosaic

Position:
Field Merchandising Specialist
(Part time)

Current status in the interview process:
2/11 – District Manager called to inform me that he had selected another candidate. He assured me that I interviewed fine, it’s just that based on my qualifications and previous work history in a corporate environment, he wasn’t sure that this part time position would be stimulating enough form me and I would end up leaving shortly after being hired. It’s kind of flattering to be told that you are over-qualified. But at the same time, you still feel as if you missed out on an opportunity to make a significant positive impact on the company’s bottom line.
2/6 – The interview went well as the DM laid out the responsibilities of a Field Merchandising Specialist.
Brief job description: use planograms to reset shelves, end caps and floor displays, use a handheld scanner to inventory merchandise, conduct regular visits as well as “blitz” visits (blitz means “Tuesday Releases)
At the interview, I asked how much, on average I could expect to earn each week. The answer was $80-$150 per week.
How many hours, on average, would I be merchandising in the stores? Anywhere from 5 to 25 or more.
I would be in charge of 8 stores in 3 cities.
2/4 – District Manager called me and we setup the interview for 2/6
1/30 – Spoke to a recruiter for a phone screening questionnaire and screening interview. He informed me that the District Manager would contact me to setup an interview within 3 business days.
1/29 – Received an email notification that an opening was available in my area.

Salary information:
$10/HR. while working in the store
$10/HR. drive time
$.35 per mile
